The definitive bible for the technical aspect of live sound.

You're not a sound reinforcement expert until you know what is in this book. Most people in this field think they are experts, and most of the time they are pretty clueless and clueless about the fact that they are clueless. This is the definitive bible.
Wrong book for mixing techniques, etc. But the best there is by far for the technical stuff.

Solid foundation for live sound and applies to studio engineer / general musician use too

I've met quite a few Live sound techs that could have benefitted a great deal from this book, rather than having to piece all of this info together from other sources as I have over the years.
However I don't do Live sound, and even though I was familiar with some of the material having it presented together in a single context is quite useful. I still picked up a great deal that I had either not known or just plain missed in learning things elsewhere, and I'm sure a subsequent read would fill in even more gaps. Thankfully (imo) it's also written in a style that doesn't attempt to pander to the reader or give an 'easy' read for the casual reader, so approach with the intent of reading a moderate technical discussion.
