I have to give it to Tina. Every time I read her newest release I say to myself "this one is the best or even the hottest one yet." But hot damn Tina, I don't think this could have gotten any hotter. I loved Luther's Return. I thought this was the perfect story for Luther.

Katie omg I just love her. She grew up being wronged. She was a Hollywood star with no family. Found her family in Yvette's Haven. Found herself working as drama teacher. Something goes haywire and she finds herself with Scanguards enemy. Will she be able to work with him? Or will everything go wrong? Read Luther's Return today and find out.

Luther I have to admit I didn't think any Scanguard could beat Amuary's Hellion. But after reading this, yeah I was so wrong. Luther is the type of man a girl dreams about. After being free he falls into a situation where his help his needed by Katie. He has always brought his mind back to his past. Will his past push him away from Katy or will his push his way past it and love again?

I so recommend you check out Luther's Return. It has the action, the love, and the oh snap I did not see that coming. Tina Folsom is just amazing.

I've fallen in love with a villain!

Luther has been held in vampire prison for twenty years. He has done his time for trying to kill Sampson and Amaury's mates and while at the time he thought that his actions were justified, he regrets that he didn't trust his friends. The first thing he does once he's released is head to San Francisco to apologize so that he will be able to get on with his life. He knows that he failed his mate when it mattered most and that it was no one's fault but his own that she died and he needs for them to know that. Things don't always go as planned though. Luther arrives the same night that Sampson's daughter disappears and the Scanguards are positive that Luther has played a part in her disappearance. Will hatred and fear make them realize that he's telling the truth or will fear of what happened in the past blind them to what's happening now?

Katie Fairfax has had lifetime of problems. She's tried to put them all behind her when she left Hollywood and she now teaches drama at a college in San Francisco. When a last minute change in the lineup for the play that she's both directing and playing a part in leads to one of her pupils disappearing, she knows that it's her fault and she'll do anything to help find her, even if that means teaming up with the enemy.

This story takes place twenty years after Amaury's Hellion and boy have a lot things changed within the Scanguards families. If you've read the other stories, you know who has married whom but here you find out just how large those families have become. Isabella is of course the oldest hybrid child and is now twenty but almost all of our favorite characters now have children as well and most have more than one. While it was a little difficult to remember who belongs to who since there are so many children now, the family tree at the front of the book helps with sorting it all out. I'm in hopes that these children, many on the verge of adulthood, will be in future books and that we can continue to watch them grow and see where their lives will lead.

Now back to Luther and Katie's story. I have fallen in love with a villain. From his very first meeting with Katie, you will remember her from book 4 as she is Haven and Wesley's little sister, Luther feels drawn to her just as much as Katie feels drawn to him. Luther can't say seem to say no to her and finds himself right back where he started from, back in the vampire prison. This book was amazing and has long been one of my favorite series. Tina is an amazing writer that does a great job in linking each book to the others so that you can honestly pick up reading anywhere in the series and be fine but trust me when I say that if you haven't read this series, it's best to just start at the beginning because you are in for one hell of ride!

Everyone deserves redemption. When we first had a glimpse of Luther in the past I knew he had his reasons. I'm glad he wasn't killed also glad he wanted to have atonement for what he did.

It was strange however going into 20 years after the last book release but so easy to understand. I think I would love to see a book/books on each of our Scansguards characters make them little novellas to see what they went through. Maya figured out how to give Yvette her dream of having children. I'm fascinated with Grayson because despite who's your favorite it's always been Samson for me. Now its a tie with Luther. So if Grayson gets a book to and if he is like his father well damn chit will hit the fan lol.

Tina's writing is amazing in this series I cried and felt for Luther and understood why he did what he caused I don't condone it but it still makes you see why. And let's face it we are in a world with Vampires and the male or female are protective of their mates. Other books I've read in paranormal vamps aren't suppose to have a conscious and I love that we get that with Tina's series. I was thinking with Katie/Kimberly she would be a lot older because she no longer held her witch powers but Tina had explained how she still aged slowly despite not having them, she's still a witch.

Folsom just can't go wrong with this series. There's four authors I follow constantly just waiting for the next one to come out and hoping they won't end. And apparently we will get more with Blake's Pursuit. No disappointments in this book for me. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars it's worth so much more.

Before you buy a Haynes repair manual, find out if it is worth your money and what are the alternatives you can consider. Honest advice from a real life mechanic.

The Good
These manuals are great for getting step by step instructions for general repairs and maintenance. This company has their own technicians that go through each job and write about the job including many pictures.

They are also widely available. While you can find Haynes repair manuals in most auto parts store, I recommend that you buy it from Amazon because it is cheaper and it has the almost entire Haynes collection for different vehicle make and models.

The price is another good point. You can buy a lifetime subscription to this online repair manual for about the same price as a printed one. There is generally more information found in online manuals than printed as well.

The Bad
The main problem with this auto repair guide is that they just don't have enough detailed information. They are great for maintenance and minor repairs but for the larger auto repair jobs that require more detail, they just don't cut it.

The Haynes website is not the greatest and some of the information is hard to find but it gets easier after you get used to it.

The price of these manuals are also one of the negatives. You can get a much more detailed auto repair manual online using AllDATAdiy or Mitchell1DIY.

Conclusion
Some people stick to Haynes repair manuals because that is the company they know. I would not buy this manual because there are other options that are much better for about the same price. There are many good things about this company, but I don't think they have the best deal.

Having tried almost all popular repair manuals in my years as a mechanic, I personally recommend ALLDATAdiy to home mechanics, DIY enthusiasts and auto professionals.

While ALLDATAdiy's indepth information and detailed diagrams allow professional mechanics to pull off major overhuals... its step by step instructions and clear pictures makes it simple enough for first time beginners to follow.

Besides much cheaper ($20++ for a year's subscription) than a factory manual, they also provide valuable information (such as the latest prices of OEM parts) that you won't find elsewhere

Full of excruciating detail

Has all the info you need to tear down your Monster-Carlo to a big pile of small parts and then try to put it back together again like it's a 10,000 piece puzzle of a blank wall. Awesome book. Good descriptive write ups and lots of pictures. I used it for the wiring diagram to try to figure out why the engine light is on. Didn't help too much, the car is 14 years old and doesn't want to be fixed, its very happy just the way it is.

Solid, mid-level manual

Bought this for my son - he owns an '04 Impala with 150,000 miles on it. I believe every person should have some generalized idea about the workings of their automobile and this manual does exactly that. What has my son done with the manual? Like most teenagers, he has taken apart the dash and installed some exceptionally loud stereo. The beauty being, if I hear it or a neighbor mentions that they could hear it on the street, the car is mine for a week. We have also used it to fix small things such as a leaking trunk; shorted wiring runs to the taillights etc.
Good generalized manual for someone needing some basic information but an expert might want more.

Best Book for Written information on ALL Aspects of Dying

I see other reviewers have given 4 stars for the lack of color photos. I can understand that but feel that the information in this one book is so complete and well done that it can only get 5 stars from me. Being new to dying I have been collecting and reading everything available to me on the subject. This is the first out of about 20 books so far that I sat down and read for hours feeling I was getting the complete picture from how your pots and pans can act as mordants to a well done selection of plant information, collecting and best uses of all parts. Color photographs would be lovely but there is a vast technical side to dying and I for one am very appreciative of a book that is so detailed on the subject and will become my go to book for information. Worth every penny!!

Technical Tome

Loads and loads of information -all in print. The only pictures were on the cover. Information is technical and makes use of the nasties - tin, chrome and copper. It should have been named "Science of the Dyer." If you want to identify anything then you will need more books as this one refers one only to other sources for identification. Good reference book for the technical aspect of dyeing. Dyeing is all about color and this book misses out on that aspect.

Decent question book

The book contains 50 questions on each of 11 topics and explains the answers for each. As with all question books, there is frequently an unclear explanation on why the correct answer is the best, or why the incorrect answers are not. This seemed to be particularly the case in the neruoophthalmology section. Some have criticized that these questions are easier than those on the written qualifying exam, and I tend to agree. It is probably a better OKAP study aid for first or second year residents, lest one get a false sense of security when studying for the actual exam. It is an inexpensive source of CME credits, with each section worth 3 hours of AMA category 1 credits.
I find these prices laughable, considering on AAO.org you can get it at the nonmember price for $265, and many in the market for this book should be an AAO member and can get it new for $195.

A Unique and Very Helpful Little Book

This is the only book for Anglo-Saxon that I know of, besides some editions of Beowulf, which has PARALLEL TEXTS for all of the readings. This is a huge help and will save you a whole lotta knock-shloggin' (looking words up), so you can study Old English kicked back with your feet up. Plus, the translations are nice and literal, and where they can't be literal, the translator gives the word-for-word meaning in parentheses.
Another nice thing is that, unlike most all other Old English readers, none of the selections here are translations of Latin works (and so not influenced by annoying Latin syntax), but all original Anglo-Saxon compositions, including some of the most important works: Caedmon's Hymn, The Battle of Brunanburg, The Battle of Maldon, The Dream of the Rood, The Wanderer, The Seafarer, The Wife's Lament, The Whale, selections from The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle (Alfred vs. the Vikings--hooray!), and others.
Mr. Diamond says that this book "is intended to make learning Old English as easy as possible", and he does a great service by publishing it. True, there are no lessons or exercises, but if you've been studying your German or your Icelandic then you'll have no problem with the very to-the-point treatments of grammar, Umlaut, metrics, etc. (If, on the other hand, you haven't been working on your modern German, then what the heck are you already jumping to Old English for?!)
This book, good also for review, will get you reading Anglo-Saxon texts very soon if not immediately, and the mix in them of a hardy Germanic character and a very familiar Englishness is pure pleasure.
(P.S. If you want a really helpful edition of Beowulf, get George Jack's (OUP), and if you want a nice overview of all Old Germanic, try Robinson's Old English and its Closest Relatives.)

This text, in conjunction with Robinson's 'Old English and its Closest Relatives' (which you may want to read first if you're a monolingual English speaker)brings the world of early Germanic language and culture into a sharper focus. I feel that Old English is an essential study for anyone interested in Germanic languages. It serves as a solid base by which languages like Gothic and Old Norse are more easily and quickly understood.

Old English Made Easy...

This is the first Old English grammar I studied, nearly 25 years ago, and it remains perhaps the best one-volume introduction to Old English around. Concise, simple, and accessible, this text has both a reader and a grammar in one cover, containing selections from the major Old English poems and prose works.

The prose works include 'The Voyages of Ohthere and Wulfstan', selections from the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle, and the preface by Alfred the Great to the medieval work on Pastoral Care by Pope Gregory. There are relatively few Old English prose works that have survived into the present day; there are even fewer authentically Old English pieces, as many Old English prose works are in fact translations of Latin pieces, and for some reason adapted their grammar to the Latin original rather than the Old English natural pattern.

The poetry exhibits the paired-verse pattern (although the translations accompanying them do not strive to keep the metrical pattern). The poetry include majors works such as Caedmon's Hymn, The Battle of Brunanburg, The Battle of Maldon, The Wanderer, The Seafarer, maxims, riddles, and other poems. There is no Beowulf contained here, nor any other heroic poems (such as Deor), as Diamond states that these are the most likely follow-up readings after one gains a grounding in Old English, and the poems contained here are often overlooked by students save for the most dedicated of scholars.

The texts here are normalised to Early West Saxon dialect, with a grammar very simplified; concepts are introduced that are directly useful for the texts contained herein. The glossary is similarly normalised, and cross-referenced for various verb forms and other vocabulary links such as prefixes and alternatives. In a remarkable insight on how students use texts, Diamond states that, for the purposes of this introductory text, notes have been eliminated, as students rarely refer to them anyway. The section on metrics introduces the five principle types of verses, as well as some minor variations.

Diamond includes a brief bibliography with dictionaries, grammars, commentaries and more; this is now somewhat out of date, but also shows the slow pace at which some aspects of Old English scholarship proceed, with references going back to volumes published in the late 1800s.

A very useful and fun text from which to learn!

A good 'bible' of Mega Man goodness

I didn't buy my copy off of Amazon. Got it off of eBay and paid more than I wanted to but that's another story. I wish I'd waited to save some bucks by buying it through Amazon.com.

Ah well.

First, this book is huge! (and in Japanese) It can easily rival a textbook in the amount of pages and weight. The first 22 pages are commemorating the 25th anniversary of the Rockman/Mega Man franchise, some sticking with only one of the series (Rockman/Mega Man, Rockman/Mega Man X, etc) and some cross through multiple series (Rockman EXE/Mega Man Battle Network, Ryuusei no Rockman/Mega Man Starforce, and Rockman Dash/Mega Man Legends). Notably missing are the Rockman Zero/Mega Man Zero and Rockman ZX/Mega Man ZX games. References to them are found in the gallery which I'll get to later.

I don't have the Rockman/Mega Man: Official Complete Works (OCW) so I can't compare the content between it and this omnibus. What I can say is that the section dedicated to the original Rockman is filled with colored pictures of the Robot Masters, the weapons Rockman/Mega Man gets from them and even several of the game stage enemies like the Sniper Joes, the different mets hats, various stage components that attack Rockman/Mega Man. It also has the mini-bosses like the yellow devil from game 1 and the dragon from game 2. And of course it's got all of Wily's fighting machines. However, 8, 9 and 10 only have pictures of the Robot Masters and the weapons gotten from them. The game boy Rockman/Mega Man games are also in the book but, they only have one or two pages, well, the 5th game boy game has the most pages and pictures, including stage enemies, to cover the new Stardroids. Rockman & Forte is in here The arcade games Rockman/Mega Man The Power Battle and Rockman 2/Mega Man 2: The Power Fighters are in here and the side games like Rockman/Mega Man Soccer (briefly mentioned/not very many pictures), Rock Board (A monopoly-like game never released in english, also briefly mentioned), Super Adventure Rockman (never released in english), Rockman/Mega Man: Battle & Chase (a racing game like Mario Kart). The remake, Rockman/Mega Man Powered Up is here too with pictures of the two new robot masters. That's around 115 pages of original Rockman/Mega Man there.

Now, I do have a copy of the Rockman X/Mega Man X: Official Complete Works (X:OCW) so I'm going to compare the content. The Rockman X/Mega Man X games are covered in the same fashion with pictures of the Irregulars/Mavericks (Sigma's ugly face and horrendous makeovers), weapons, stage enemies (except when it reaches the fourth game), bonus items, other significant characters (Like Alia, Iris, Signas, Gate) etc. The content between the two is the same page for page as for covering the games. The X games that are released on the PlayStation, the avatars used in the games are in the book as well. Extreme and Extreme 2 for the gambe boy are in here, briefly mentioned, Command Mission, and the remake, Irregular Hunter Rockman X/Maverick Hunter Mega Man X. The rough sketches found at the end of the X:OCW is mixed in with the rough sketches found in OCW after the X games are covered. At first I thought that some were missing but they're all there. Some of the sketches are goofy, some show the development of Rockman/Mega Man (X). There are even sketches of possible logos to put on the merchandise. There aren't many pages for this section of the book.

At the end of the rough sketches is the gallery. Big gallery. Lotsa pages. Well, about 54 pages. Here are more commemorative pictures and here is where the Udon Tribute book is put. There's pictures in here referring to the fan made CDs 'ROCKMAN HOLIC' and 'We Are Rockman 2'. The commemoration pictures found in R20. Pictures of the different covers for the games and promotional items depending on where the were released, including new collections like those released for the PlayStation 2. Pictures of the comic books, manga books, stuff that appears to be collector's cards, a page of thumbnail fan art. A lot of the tribute pictures have been shrunk to fit into the book which really sucks for the awesome ones that feature a bit of all the games at once because you can't see the detail very well. This is probably what irks me the most is not being able to see the detail and having to read the tiny print too.

After that is the second 'Archives' which has more pictures from the games, story boards, environments, 4koma, character design, character redesign. 102 pages of goodies.

And last, the 'Special' section which is entirely in Japanese and I don't know enough to make sense of it. It's a transcribed interview that appears (going off of the few pictures there are) to touch on the development of a few other games besides the Rockman/Mega Man franchise, decisions for details during character design and the most recent developments Rockman/Mega Man related, being Rockman X Over and the canceled development of Rockman Dash 3/Mega Man Lends 3.

I confidently say that it is a good investment for any Rockman/Mega Man fan. Even if you don't know/can't read Japanese. Though, looks like CAPCOM is going to publish the book in english some time in September of this year. (and Amazon is taking pre-orders) Having been one to never believe that CAPCOM would be this nice I got the Japanese one. I may just get the english one too.

There is NO pixel art inside

This book is a wonderful collection of Mega Man (Rock Man) drawings from promotional art or concept art. But the cover is deceptive as that is ALL the pixel art you will see in the whole book.

The binding in this soft cover version is essentially glue.

About the Author

H. Wayne House (ThD, JD) is distinguished research professor of theology, law, and culture at  Faith  Evangelical Seminary, Tacoma, Washington. He is the author of numerous books, including Charts of Cults, Sects, and Religious Movements; and Charts of Christian Theology and Doctrine; and Charts of Apologetics and Christian Evidences. Dr. House is past president of the Evangelical Theological Society. He and his wife Irina reside in Silverton, Oregon.

Helpful and handy

I use this book alot to help get the big picture and basic cases for various theological views. The author does a good job of presenting the views of various systems. Most of the charts have the well known related scriptures and short arguments for and against the view.
I think it could be a little better if it had a detailed subject index in the back, but the table of contents is sufficient. It helps if the reader is familiar with the structure and topics of a systematic theology (prolegomena through eschatology). However, this is not the book for an depth study of any particular doctrine. It just helps you get the overall structure quickly. This is a good reference for the intermediate or early theology student. It's probably too terse for a true newcomer to theological studies but could be helpful soon after a little systematic study. This is not a criticism just something to be aware of before you purchase. It's a book of charts not detailed explanations.
For more meat get the Moody Handbook of Theology, by Pentecost, it's an excellent theology summary/introduction. It originated and explains some of the best charts in this chart book. One other thing - this chart book does not describe various church denominational teachings/differences at all. For that see Handbook of Denominations in the United States, by Mead.

Great reference material

I am looking at some of the other reviews, and 4 of the 5 people who have responded have criticisms of this book because they apparently felt that House did not accurately portray their pet doctrine or church. I'm guessing that in a chart book like this, the author will never be able to please every single reader. What I like about this is that the material is simple to understand, and in just a few pages, House adequately summarizes a doctrine and the views Christians have on it. For instance, if you wanted to better understand the issue of Calvinism vs. Arminianism, House gives views from both camps. He doesn't tell you what to believe. Certainly if you rest on one side, you might feel like he "missed" important points that could have been made. But this chart book was not meant to be an exhaustive resource that would relieve you of further research on your own. The author merely meant this to be a starting place, to better understand the various views. Maybe this will help a person better sort through an issue and to come to a conclusion about which view is the most biblical and therefore accurate. I have used these charts in explaining different doctrines (i.e. the Trinity). It's worthy of the investment.

Another 10 pounds in a five pound bag!

WOW! What a great book! Really great stuff. Here are some of my comments about the portrayal of "orthodox" Catholic thought.
1) page#3, Chart#1: Good, second statement in the Block about Revelation is not necessary in the presentation of "orthodox" catholic doctrine. We simply call these people what they are, DISSENTERS. See Vatican II document on Divine Revelation. Last sentence at bottom of page about Mary can be misleading to those unfamiliar with authentic Marian Dogma. See definition of "mediatrix" in catholic pocket dictionary.
2) page#11, chart#1: Good presentation of Liberation Theology, Statement about RC theologians in Latin America,(last sentence top block)should be stricken. a) only a very few tried this b) Pope John Paul II Squashed this heresy in the early 80's (See A&E's biography of JPII)
3) page#124(?)&125(?), chart#80: O.K. but not quite correct, WE DO NOT BELIEVE THAT CHRIST IS RE-SACRIFICED AT EACH MASS! See definition of "Mass" in Pocket Dictionary and the Catechism. Participants column incorrect. Laity may recieve the Eucharistic Lord under both "species": Body and Precious Blood. (I do every Sunday.) There was a period when the Laity were restricted but that had to do with a discipline imposed for health and abuse reasons rather than a Doctrinal mandate. However, we teach that HE is truely and completely present in both "species". See 1983 "Code of Cannon Law".
I was pleased to see in the Bibliography on page 144 that he does make use of Ludwig Ott's "FUNDAMENTALS OF CATHOLIC DOGMA". I did finally order this book thanks to your influence. It is a great masterpiece and I am making great use of it. I am a little surprised that Mr. H. Wayne House made the inaccurate statements that I've cited above in view of what Ludwig Ott's book says.
BUT! , THIS IS A GREAT BOOK AND I WILL STUDY IT ALONG WITH MY OTHER REFERENCES. YOU HAVE DONE ME A GREAT SERVICE. I WISH I COULD FIND A CATHOLIC SOURCE AS CONCISE AND EASY TO READ AS THIS ONE! THIS IS
I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED A SNAPSHOT VIEW OF ALL THE DIFFERENT VIEWS OF THEOLOGY AND NOW I HAVE ONE! GREAT! , I really appreciate how he presents the arguments for and against the different position that are out there. And, I really liked Chart #63 on page#103 and what the "Vatican II Emphasis column had to say.
