No beautiful pictures

This is an excellent book on animal breeding. However, contrary to a previous review, it does not have any pictures at all! It has excellent charts and tables that illustrate points in the book. I just wanted to clarify this point.

Excellent text will help you better understand any kind of selective animal breeding

This book was recommended to me by a college professor who teaches horse breeding genetics. She said that although the book is not specifically about horses, she finds the information in it to be more correct than many texts that are.
